Speech Language Hearing CenterShelley is an Oregon Board and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She began her career serving children with a variety of speech and language disorders in the Eugene 4J School District in 2005. In 2015 she started specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to assist children with complex communication needs. Shelley is particularly interested in the application of the Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD) communication system. Besides supporting graduate students in the school setting and the HEDCO clinic, Shelley supervises a monthly AAC Caregiver Support group as well as Ducks in AACtion, a summer camp for children and young adults who use AAC.
