What are your hours?
We are currently open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, weekdays.
How much do your services cost?
We aim for costs to not be a barrier to entry, as the majority of our clinics are sliding scale. The CDAC Clinic fee is a flat $800. Payment is due at the time of services. At this time, we do not accept insurance, but we do take HSA/HRA/MSA/FSA payments, and can assist with insurance reimbursement.
What is the expected waitlist time?
Our waitlist for services is currently 8-18 weeks, but it depends service to service. This is not a guarantee that you will receive services within this window. Please use our Contact Us page to ask general questions or initiate services.
Do you offer diagnosis and assessment services?
The Comprehensive Diagnostic and Assessment Clinic (CDAC) offers assessment and diagnosis services for ADHD and Learning Disabilities (including dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia). At this time, we do not offer an autism diagnosis.
Do you offer support groups and skills groups?
We offer a diverse array of support and skills groups focused on mental health support, grief and loss, communication skills, and more. You may visit our Centers page to view all opportunities.
Do you offer individual therapy?
Our waitlist for individual therapy is OPEN at this time. We will be sure to post information on our website and social media when our waitlists opens back up.
Do you work with couples and families?
We work with couples, families, friendship groups, and all relationships that are important to you and your well-being. We work from a systems perspective, which means that we consider all of the relationships and contexts that may affect your health and quality of your relationships, including, for example, societal, cultural, family, and biological factors.
I'm a parent, how can you help me?
We specialize in educational and mental health care and support for parents and their families. Our strength is that we work as an interdisciplinary team, so counselors are ready to talk with you about parenting stress, relationship strain, fatigue associated with navigating health care and educational services, parenting skills information, support groups, and more.
Where Can I Park?
We provide parking to HEDCO Clinic clients at Lot 19. When you enter our clinic, you should get a parking permit from our receptionists. Alternatively, you can pay to park in Lot 20, or on East 18th Street just south of the clinic. Please note, we do not reimburse or validate for pay-to-park lots or spots.
How can I access my medical records?
You have the right receive a copy of your paper or electronic health records. You can submit a Release of Information via our website, or come into the clinic in person during our hours of operation. Please see our Medical Records page.
What is your policy regarding emotional support animals?
We follow all University of Oregon campus policies, which means that currently only service dogs are allowed.
Are you the HEDCO Institute?
Our names are very similar, both of us owing our name to the HEDCO Building. We are the HEDCO Clinic, which offers services including individual therapy, relational therapy, family therapy, ADHD and Learning Disability diagnostic assessments, and speech-language pathology services; but we are not the HEDCO Institute.
What does HEDCO mean?
The College of Education (COE) can provide more information as to what HEDCO means.
Are you the Head Co Clinic?
We get this question a lot! We are the HEDCO Clinic, named after the building that we are housed in. While most of our work involves the head, whether it be mental health, speech disorders, or diagnostics; we are not called the Head Co Clinic.
