Nancy J. Nelson is a Research Assistant Professor at the Center on Teaching and Learning, College of Education and the Director of Clinic and Outreach Services. She has been working with the College of Education since 2011. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the HEDCO Clinic as a licensed school psychologist, licensed special education teacher, and nationally certified school psychologist. She received her M.A. in Special Education from San Francisco State University and her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Oregon. Prior to coming to the College of Education, she taught middle and high school special education math. Her expertise includes developing learning interventions to advance reading and math learnning; improving literacy for students with a wide range of disabilities; and implementing technology-based interventions to improve student learning and achievement. She brings extensive teaching, intervention and research experience to our HEDCO Clinic Academic and Learning Services.
