Jen Meyer has been at the College of Education since 2010 and serves as the HEDCO Clinic Director of Clinical Education, Communication Disorders and Sciences program. She has a M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and prior to coming to the University, Jennifer worked with adult and geriatric clients in a variety of settings. Her experience includes direct clinical intervention, operational and clinical management of multi-disciplinary therapy teams, adult education, student and Clinical Fellow supervision and community outreach. Jennifer runs Speak Up! an interdisciplinary group for trans women working to modify their voice and communication patterns. Other special interest areas include motor-speech disorders in children and adults, dementia management and cultural and linguistic diversity issues in Speech-Language Pathology. She has presented at state and national conventions regarding practice and management in skilled nursing settings.
