Deanna Linville

Couples and Family Therapy / Medical Family Therapy

Deanna Linville has been a faculty member in the UO Couples and Family Therapy program since 2003. She received her degrees from Virginia Tech University and serves now as an associate professor and the program director for the Couples and Family Therapy program. She is also a licensed marriage and family therapist as well as a clinical member and approved supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Her clinical and research expertise includes obesity and eating disorder prevention and treatment, family wellness, integrated healthcare/medical family therapy and couples issues. She received specialized training in medical family therapy (collaborative family healthcare) through her doctoral fellowship at University of Chicago-Chicago Center for Family Health and has extensive experience providing therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups dealing with acute and chronic illness, disabilities and loss. She brings this specialized training to our HEDCO Clinic where she trains and supervises student interventionists and conducts research.
