Augmentative and Alternative Communication Clinic (AAC)

Augmentative and alternative communication refers to the supplementation or replacement of natural speech using unaided or aided communication systems.

The AAC clinic offers:

  • Equipment access support
  • Communication tool programming
  • Educational resources
  • Family training
  • Low-tech options (pictures, books)
  • High-tech options (or mobile devices)
  • Summer camp for young AAC users and their families/caregivers
