ABA Center

ABA

We are in the process of fully staffing this center and are hopeful that we will be able to provide the full range of services for children with developmental disorders or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the coming year. The ABA Center does not currently have an expected waitlist time for services.

While hiring is in process, we are currently offering the opportunity for some families to participate in the PRISM Research project. Only some families may qualify for participation. See below for more details.

Personalized Responsive Intervention Sequences for Minimally Verbal Children with Autism (PRISM)

Mission: The PRISM project focuses on children with ASD age 3-5 years who have few or no words. The goal of this multi-site project (University of Oregon, University of California Los Angeles, University of Rochester) is to maximize language outcomes for preschoolers who have limited language through a 20 week sequence of interventions (adaptive intervention) that can include Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) and/or Joint Attention Symbolic Play Engagement and Regulation (JASPER) interventions.

Participation is free of charge for all eligible children. This project is funded through the National Institutes of Health (National Institute of Child Health and Human Development- NICHD). Grant Number 1R01HD095973-01A1 (PI: Kasari, Co-I: Iadarola, Shire).
